‘Democrats see chaos as a ladder’: Joe Concha

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha slammed Democrats for the violence at an immigration detention center in New Jersey as protesters clashed with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials and state police.

“In blue cities across the country, I can guarantee you, you’re going to see more organized and paid for protests, rioters like this,” Concha said on Fox Business’s Varney & Company Tuesday.

Detainees at the facility on a hunger strike have blasted the living conditions inside the center.

The New Jersey attorney general filed a lawsuit against Delaney Hall on Tuesday, after Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) raised concerns that she was not given full access to the facility.

Concha argued that the protests served as a point of political gain for Sherrill, and criticized her for blaming ICE for the violence.

Sherrill has previously stated, “We simply cannot let ICE surge into our community,” and that “an increased ICE surge in the area outside of Delaney Hall is a threat to public safety.”

“At this point, she is pouring kerosene on this five-alarm fire,” Concha said.

He said that Sherrill ran for governor as a moderate with a military background, but now she’s using the protests for political gain.

“They’re the best rioters that money can buy,” Concha said.

Concha said that violence like this can be expected across the country this summer as Democrats fight for ground in the midterm elections.

“Democrats see chaos as a ladder ahead of the midterms; it’s not looking as rosy as it used to for them.”

Concha also argued the irony surrounding protesters’ criticism of Delaney Hall, since the Obama administration first began using it as an immigration processing center.

“This is all for show. And they’re hoping somebody gets hurt – a protester or a rioter, so they can have another Minneapolis on their hands. That’s Mikie Sherrill’s plan.”
