The father of a sailor aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement while his son was deployed at sea in the Middle East.
Luis Manuel Aviles Roa was arrested in Key West, Florida, during a traffic stop, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Roa, who is originally from Nicaragua, was carrying his driver’s license, Social Security card, and work permit at the time of his arrest, according to his son, Joshua Aviles.
