WMATA celebrates America 250 with exhibition on National Mall

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced it’s celebrating America 250 with an exhibition on the National Mall featuring a railcar from 1976 alongside a new model slated to arrive in 2027.

The exhibition is part of Metro’s celebration of 50 years of service and its participation in the Great American State Fair, a centerpiece of America 250.
