Mayorkas refutes critics following terrorist attacks: Safety is ‘highest responsibility’

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas dismissed criticisms of him following two terrorist attacks.

During the New Year’s Day celebration in New Orleans, Shamsud-Din Jabbar subverted a police barricade and drove through the crowds before shooting and killing fifteen people. In another case, a man parked a Tesla Cybertruck outside of the glass doors to the Las Vegas Trump Hotel, and fifteen seconds later, the driver detonated the vehicle.
