NASA is holding a press conference after the Artemis II crew splashed down in the Pacific Ocean Friday evening.

ARTEMIS II SET TO BEGIN TOUGHEST PART OF MISSION: REENTERING EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE

In a historic 10-day mission, NASA astronauts returned to space after half a century, breaking the Apollo 13 distance record by traveling 252,756 miles from Earth.

Recovery teams extracted the astronauts within two hours of splash down and flew them by helicopter to the USS John P. Murtha to begin post-mission medical checks. The crew was slated to then head back to Houston.
