New Jersey lawmaker confident Trump will ‘catch up’ with rival countries on drone tech

Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) expressed enthusiasm that President-elect Donald Trump’s administration will drastically improve its drone technology in the coming years, arguing that there is “no doubt” the nation is behind other countries.

The New Jersey lawmaker has been sounding the alarm over the numerous drone sightings in his state, claiming that “dependable” whistleblowers have informed him that there is “a real possibility” that these drones are from Iran. Ahead of Trump taking office in three weeks, Van Drew contended that both the president-elect and most of Congress recognize how important drone technology is.
