Fashion website Refinery29 recently profiled five “dreamy D.C. chefs” who dished out (get it?) their best love life advice. Bayou Bakery’s David Guas recommended serving up romance with red velvet cake, while D.C. Coast’s Matt Kuhn suggested impressing a date with gnocchi bolognese. Best yet, chef Bryan Voltaggio, of Volt and Lunchbox fame, advised looking at the big picture: “Think about the whole evening — so…healthy cooking might be better, with any after-dinner activities in mind,” he said. And how do we know that their love advice works? Sorry women of Washington, but not a single one of them is single — three are married and the two other have girlfriends. Le sigh.
