Since January 1, 2011, actor David Arquette hasn’t had an alcoholic drink, though when a Washington publicist asked Thursday night if he was going to the upstairs bar at the Washington Ritz-Carlton to get a “big girl drink,” he kindly demurred, but then came trotting back downstairs having fetched a vodka soda with a splash of cranberry juice for the young woman.
Arquette was among the Hollywood types who showed up for Thursday’s “pre-prom night,” as it was being called, a women in media dinner being hosted by Elle Magazine, the Creative Coalition and Lanmark Technology president and CEO Lani Hay. Arquette was joined by mostly TV folks including Creative Coalition president Tim Daly, “Once Upon a Time” actress Ginnifer Goodwin with her boyfriend/co-star Josh Dallas, “The Big Bang Theory’s” Johnny Galecki, “Spin City’s” Richard Kind, “House’s” Omar Epps, “Pan Am’s” Kelli Garner, “The Walking Dead’s” Jon Bernthal and “ER’s” Gloria Reuben. Also Rob Morrow and Danielle Panabaker. Thursday night’s honorees were MSNBC’s Alex Wagner and CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell.
