Elizabeth Warren is the most recent Obama appointee to grace the pages of fashion mag Vogue. For the January issue, Warren, head of the new Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, posed in her office at the Department of Treasury sporting Carolina Herrera and Ralph Lauren. She is described as having “big blue eyes, soft blonde hair and the honeyed accent of the Oklahoma plains,” and is touted for reusing her tea bags. “But I just can’t stand the waste of throwing out a tea bag after one use,” Warren tells Vogue’s Rebecca Johnson, after pulling one from her desk drawer. “It’s like a knife in the gut for me.” And besides the more important stuff, like what motivates her, Warren talks clothes. “This is the one area where I really envy men,” she confesses. “Some days I feel just right. Other times, I’ll be sitting in a meeting and I’ll look down at some frilly collar and think, ‘Oh, Lord, what was I thinking?'”
