Howard University’s Afro Blue jazz choir performed on NBC’s a capella singing competition “The Sing-Off” Monday night to much fanfare. The judges, which include pop pianist Ben Folds, Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman and singer Sara Bareilles, had positive things to say about the local group, but it was Bareilles who paid them the biggest compliment. “I also wrote down that you’re all very attracted,” admitted Bareilles, a White House regular, looking down at her notes. “So maybe I need to work on taking notes, but you’re all very good looking in addition to sounding amazing.” The group advanced to the second round.
