Sen. Ted Cruz is planning a 36-county bus tour in Iowa in January as part of his last campaign push ahead of the Feb. 1 caucuses.
The Texas Republican has emerged as the favorite to win Iowa’s Republican presidential caucuses due to his strong support from the key voting bloc of evangelical Christians.
On Thursday, the Des Moines Register reported that Cruz would launch a “Cruzin to Caucus” bus tour on Jan. 4 through Jan. 9.
The newspaper notes that the bus tour would still leave Cruz short of his pledge to visit all 99 counties in the state.
