Silly Bo, don’t you know Easter is for rabbits? On Thursday, the White House pooch, dressed in a pair of rabbit ears, appeared in a video promoting this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll, with the ticket lottery for the annual event kicking off Thursday and concluding March 5. This year’s theme Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move is once again fitness related with hula-hooping Easter Bunnies depicted on four of the five official souvenir eggs. Bo is the star of the fifth egg, once again stealing the show from any rabbit.
The first dog was also central to the Obamas holiday decorations this past Christmas. There was a Bo ornament, Bo miniature or Bo-topiary in every room that was open to the public for holiday touring. Bo even made a surprise appearance on the first day the holiday decorations were displayed, a cameo we might expect at the Easter Egg Roll, which will take place April 9.
