CONCORD, N.H. — With just eight days left before the first-in-the-nation primary, a new poll finds Donald Trump dominating the Republican presidential field among independents, the largest bloc of voters in New Hampshire.
The billionaire GOP front-runner pulls 37 percent support among undeclared Granite State voters in the latest American Research Group survey released Monday, nearly 15 percentage points higher than his next closest rival, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who’s polling at 16 percent among independents.

Despite spending most of the past two weeks in Iowa, Trump has also increased his support among registered Republican voters in New Hampshire. According to the ARG survey, 34 percent of GOP voters currently back the New York businessman, up three percentage points since last week. Kasich remains in the second-place spot with 16 percent support, followed by Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., at 11 percent, and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, at 10 percent.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who both plan to return to New Hampshire Monday instead of remaining in Iowa for caucus night, are polling at 9 percent and 6 percent, respectively.
The survey of 600 primary voters, including 358 registered Republicans and 242 undeclared voters, was conducted between Jan. 29-31. Results contain a margin of error plus or minus 4 percent.
