NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Republican business owner Robert Bloxom has won a special election to fill a vacant seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Tuesday’s election was held to fill Lynwood Lewis’ 100th District seat. Lewis prevailed in a recount in January to succeed Lt. Gov. Ralph S. Northam in the Virginia Senate.

Results posted on the Virginia State Board of Elections website show Bloxom received 60.3 percent of the vote to Democrat Willie C. Randall’s 39.6 percent, with all 33 precincts reporting. Eleven voters cast write-in ballots.
The House’s 100th District includes the counties of Accomack and Northampton and portions of the cities of Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
