Levin was speaking to the Mecosta County Democratic Party at a deli in Grand Rapids, Mich., when sources say a student criticized the Senate Armed Services Committee chairman during a Q&A session. Moments later, a woman at the event walked up to Levin and smacked him in the face with a pie.
