Christie: ‘Is there anything Marco says that he doesn’t get from his staff?’

Chris Christie slammed his GOP primary opponent Marco Rubio the morning of the New Hampshire primary, and accused Rubio of relying on staff for everything he says, and for attacking other Republican candidates.

“The biggest attacker in this race has been Marco Rubio. He puts that little smile on his face the he sends his super [political action committee] out to cut people’s throats,” Christie claimed on Fox News. “We don’t need another duplicitous D.C. politician in the White House, we already have one, and we don’t need another one. Marco needs to go and get some experience and maybe when he does he can run for president again.”

Referring to the senator’s attacks on Christie earlier on the same morning show, the New Jersey governor said, “that little show this morning tells you exactly that he’s a typical, Washington drive-by politician. No experience but a lot of talking points from his oppo[sition] research guys. Is there anything Marco says that he doesn’t get from his staff?”

During last Saturday’s GOP debate, Rubio and Christie engaged in a heated discussion in which Christie slammed the Florida senator for reusing talking points and not thinking on his feet. As the two politicians duel for the top three spots in the Granite State primary they have repeatedly attacked each other on the campaign trail.

“The American people have a right to know who is ready to take on Hillary Clinton. Who is ready to be president of the United States and who isn’t,” Christie said as the polls opened in New Hampshire during an interview on “Fox and Friends” live from Manchester. “And my whole intent through the beginning of the week last week and through the debate and through today is to let people know I’m ready, I’m tested, I’m mature, I’m ready to beat her and Sen. Rubio simply is not.”
