Additionally, Planned Parenthood has contributed $679,596 directly to federal candidates, $676,885 of that to Democrats, in 2014.

In the 2014 federal elections, a landslide year for Republicans, Planned Parenthood spent nearly $3 million in ads attacking Republican candidates and an additional $1.8 million in ads promoting Democrats.
The Examiner analyzed election data obtained by Open Secrets from the Federal Elections Committee on March 09, 2015.
The government gave half a billion dollars to Planned Parenthood in the last year on record and, while a growing cadre of House Republicans say they will not pass a spending bill that sends money to the group, Senate Majority Leader called this Friday an “exercise in futility.”
