Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is no longer holding back when it comes to responding to Donald Trump’s attacks.
Less than 24 hours after Trump posted a video to Instagram with photos of convicted illegal-immigrant criminals as he mocked Bush for once describing illegal immigration as “an act of love,” the Florida Republican fired back.
Bush’s presidential campaign released its own web-based attack ad Tuesday highlighting “liberal things that Trump says/believes.”
The minute-long video features sound-bites from televised interviews of Trump dating back to the 1990s, showing the Republican front-runner describing himself as “very pro-choice,” praising the success of single-payer healthcare systems in Scotland and Canada, and calling for raised taxes on high-income earners.
In one clip, the New York billionaire tells CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that “Hillary [Clinton] would do a good job when asked who he’d like “representing the U.S. in a deal with Iran.”
“Hillary Clinton, I think, is a terrific woman,” Trump says in another clip.
“She’s very talented,” he says in a different interview.
Bush’s video also includes the now-infamous interview between Trump and Blitzer, in which the real estate mogul said: “Well you’d probably be shocked if I said that in many cases I probably identify more as a Democrat.”
At the end of the video, viewers are directed to Jeb2016.com/conservative — an additional jab at the questionably conservative GOP front-runner.
