Ben Carson warned the Republican Party on Monday that its holds on the House and Senate could be ripped away if it meddles with the GOP nomination process and tries to deny Donald Trump the Republican nod.
Carson told Fox News that there would be “absolute destruction” if Trump has the nomination snatched away from him thanks to “shenanigans” by party elites. The former presidential candidate also wondered if those same party figures were more concerned with maintaining their control or with America as a whole.

“It’s not only going to be the presidency, but it’s going to be the Senate and it could even be the House. “If they’re more concerned about America, they will not blow up a straightforward process,” Carson said. “They will let the will of the people prevail.”
