By the Numbers: The perks of White House pay

54%: Percentage of the 270 White House staffers (who have been there for more than a year) who received pay raises, according to the 2011 White House payroll report released last week. The average salary increase for staffers, most making less than $100,000 a year, was 8 percent, with the percentage going up considerably if you factor only staffers who got raises.
