We’re beginning to wonder if any D.C. marriage can survive a reality show? Tuesday morning former “Real Housewives of D.C.” cast member Mary Amons posted on her Facebook fan page that she and her husband Rich were splitting after 26 years of marriage. “While I have the deepest respect for my husband and wish him the very best, we have grown apart,” Amons wrote, adding that she hoped to keep the divorce amicable for the sake of their five children. “The weeks and months ahead during this transition will not be easy for them, and for my children’s sake, I appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
Mary and Rich marks the fourth couple from the ill-fated series to break up. Cat and Charles Ommanney were over before the show even aired. More recently local real estate agent Stacie Scott Turner and her hubby Jason called it quits and she-who-must-not-be-named left her husband-who-must-not-be-named for the guitarist from Journey.
