As Hillary Clinton delivered an address Tuesday aimed at taking on presumed GOP nominee Donald Trump, MSNBC published a glowing on-air headline underscoring the Democratic front-runner’s status as a grandmother.
“Clinton: Speaking for 1st time as grandmother of 2,” read the on-screen graphic during Clinton’s speech.

In March, Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, gave birth to her third child. MSNBC has not run a headline emphasizing that the presumed GOP nominee is the grandfather of eight.
MSNBC’s glowing Clinton chyron also comes on the heels of the three top cable news networks dumping coverage of a live Trump rally last week in favor of an address by Clinton, signaling a possible shift in how major newsrooms plan to cover the remainder of the 2016 election.
