The Russian government is demanding an apology from Fox News, after anchor Bill O’Reilly called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “killer” in an interview that aired before the Super Bowl.
“We consider such words from the Fox TV company to be unacceptable and insulting, and honestly speaking, we would prefer to get an apology from such a respected TV company,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, according to Reuters.

In the interview on Sunday, O’Reilly asked President Trump about his views on Russia and described the country’s president, Vladimir Putin, as “a killer.” After asking Trump if he respects Putin, O’Reilly said, “He’s a killer though. Putin’s a killer.”
A spokesperson for Fox did not return a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.
