President Obama, speaking at an event celebrating LGBT Pride Month from the East Room of the White House, shut down a pro-immigration heckler.
The activist was identified later by Get Equal and Familia QTLM, an immigration advocacy group, as Jennicet Gutiérrez, a transgender woman currently in the U.S. illegally.
“President Obama, release all LGBTQ immigrants from detention and stop all deportations!” she yelled from the back of the room.
Obama, who has been more patient with hecklers in the past, had no time for this one Wednesday night.
“Hold on a sec,” Obama said. “OK. You know what. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. No, no, no, no.”
“Hey, listen, you’re in my house,” he added, to cheers from the audience.

The heckler was then escorted out of the event, per Obama’s request.
“As a general rule, I am just fine with a few hecklers but not when I am up in the house,” Obama said later, to crowd laughter. “[I]f you are eating the hors d’oeuvres, know what I’m sayin’? And drinking the booze.”
