Turner turns heads at Knock Out Abuse

Fire! Fire!

They may not have scored an entertainment coup like last year, when they had Lenny Kravitz perform, but the organizers of the annual Knock Out Abuse Against Women gala still had plenty of star power on Thursday night. This year’s emcee at the Ritz Carlton was raspy-voiced starlet Kathleen Turner.

Redskins Clinton Portis and Santana Moss helped out with the live auction portion of the evening.

But it was a group of D.C. firefighters who stole the show. One of the evening’s live auction items was dinner for ten at two D.C. fire stations, complete with a case of wine and catered dinner.

Two of the firemen also auctioned the shirts off their backs — literally. The women in the crowd bid on who got to relieve each man of his T-shirt.

This year’s entertainment: R&B singer Kevin Michaels.
