Obama worked with networks to set speech time

When deciding what time to schedule his speech on Libya Monday night, President Obama and his staff reached out to the networks. Priority number one for ABC? Making sure the speech (and analysis) didn’t push back the start of “Dancing With the Stars,” which is broadcast live. After discussions, all networks involved, both cable and broadcast, agreed on a 7: 30 start time. A White House spokesman said this practice is not a new occurrence.
