Congress mourns loss of Beastie Boy

Fans of the white rapper emerged from the woodwork in Congress after news of Adam Yauch‘s death broke on Friday. The nation’s political leaders immediately responded to the loss of the 47-year-old musician behind the hip-hop group the Beastie Boys.

The news drew shout-outs from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Sen. Chuck Schumer, who tweeted, “They call him Adam Yauch, but he’s MCA. RIP Adam.”
