For the Left, some lives are apparently more valuable than others

Another young woman was murdered, allegedly by an illegal immigrant released into the country under the Biden administration. If the name Sheridan Gorman doesn’t sound familiar to you, it’s probably because you’ve been watching left-wing propaganda outlets such as CNN or MS Now.

The 18-year-old Loyola University student was senselessly gunned down in Chicago, shot in the back, allegedly by a man who should have never been in the country in the first place. Shortly after being released into the country in 2023, the suspect was arrested for shoplifting but released once again instead of being deported.

It’s obvious why the liberal media doesn’t want to touch this story: it shatters the narrative that ICE’s anti-illegal immigration crusade is unmerited, and justifies the extensive actions the Trump administration has taken to get criminal foreign nationals out of the country.

CHICAGO’S DEADLY SANCTUARY POLICIES CLAIM ANOTHER INNOCENT LIFE

Gorman’s alleged murderer is the kind of person Renee Good and Alex Pretti were protecting in their attempts to obstruct immigration enforcement. Yet, the media care more about the deaths of two anti-ICE agitators than the victims of what President Donald Trump has dubbed “migrant crime.” A recent analysis shows CNN and MS Now avoided covering Gorman’s murder in the days following the attack. The coverage of Good and Pretti, on the other hand, was wall-to-wall — they still write about it months after the fact.

This is nothing new. To the media, your life is valued by how much your death furthers the outlet’s agenda. It applies to both sides of the political aisle, but the vast majority of legacy media is controlled by the Left, even much of the so-called “conservative news.” The media does the same thing with racial violence. When a black person is killed by a white person, or God forbid, a white police officer, the media is all over it — even when evidence of a racial motive is absent, like in the case of George Floyd. And the media ignore when white people are killed by black people — even when evidence of a racial motive is present, like in the case of Iryna Zarutska.

This feeds into the Left’s narrative that, to quote former President Joe Biden, white supremacy is “the most dangerous terrorist threat” to the U.S. And yet, white people are 12 times more likely to be killed by a black person than vice versa, per capita. The media, with the help of academia, manufactures a fictitious epidemic of anti-black racism, and then wonders why race relations are boiling over.

The liberal media plays the same game with Israel’s war against Hamas. The media were so quick to forget, or even justify, the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre in which over 1,200 innocents were killed and hundreds of others were raped, maimed, or kidnapped. But as soon as Israel responded, activists posing as journalists bought Hamas’s propaganda hook, line, and sinker. The focus went on the fake “Gaza genocide,” aided by figures provided by the terrorist group that didn’t distinguish between civilians and combatants. Dead terrorists became more valuable to the media than dead Jews. When the real figures showed Israel was historically efficient at avoiding civilian casualties, few media outlets even acknowledged it. I wonder why.

MEDIA MIND CONTROL: NEWS OUTLETS HIJACK NARRATIVES THROUGH DISHONEST LABELS

If the media were honest in its reporting, there would be more outrage about preventable tragedies like Gorman’s murder, and there would be fewer left-wing activists committing suicide by ICE to prevent criminals from being removed from the country.

But the media doesn’t value lives. It values victims who fit the script — and discards the rest, no matter how innocent or preventable their deaths.
