No one is more excited about Jeb Bush 2016 than Colbert

Stephen Colbert’s comedy news show, “The Colbert Report,” comes to an end this week and the comedian was worried that meant he wouldn’t have a chance to weigh in on the next presidential election.

“Luckily for me, 2016 came early this year,” Colbert announced.

Jeb Bush announced that he would “actively explore” running for president Tuesday and Colbert could not be more excited.

“Excuse me. I am getting a little emotional. I never thought I would live to see America’s first third Bush president,” Colbert joked.

He said that Jeb had earlier crushed his dreams of this happening, but Colbert was glad to see that he had worked through the five stages of deciding to run for president: “Denial, Thinking, Acceptance of money from donors, Vacationing in Iowa, and Pancakes.”
