Oops. Apparently the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee needs some spelling help.
Following Cory Booker’s win in the New Jersey special election for U.S. Senate, the DSCC ran a congratulatory banner thanking donors across the top of its website — except the current mayor of Newark would probably be surprised to know he’s now a “United Steates Senator.”

The error has since been removed from the website, but not before it was caught by Twitter user @RBPundit and mocked widely.
If only the DSCC was as committed to spelling as it is to “Keeping a Democratic Majority in the Senate.”
