The protests by #BlackLivesMatter activists and the murder of eight police officers over the course of two weeks has raised racial tensions, and Donald Trump believes that race relations are as bad as ever.
Trump said on Fox and Friends Monday morning that President Obama has divided Americans.

“[President Obama] has been a great divider in this country,” the billionaire said. “Race relations are as bad as they’ve ever been.”
He doubled down after that and said Obama had the chance to bridge the divide, but ended up making things worse.
A host asked Trump about Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) who said that part of the reason he’s been stopped so much by police officers is because he’s black. The billionaire acknowledged that African Americans have a unique experience with police that white Americans don’t understand.
“It’s probably something that we really don’t know and maybe we can’t feel unless we’re black,” Trump said. “It is definitely something going on there also … There is something going on that maybe we can’t recognize it or we can’t see it unless you’re black. And it’s an experience, no question about it. Perhaps, perhaps a different experience.”
The hosts followed up by asking Trump how he can address those concerns by African Americans as a white man.
“You have to see and you have to put yourself in their position and you have to see what’s going on. But you know we’re at a point now where it’s out of control,” the presumptive Republican nominee said.
