The First Dog was the subject of some controversy earlier this week. The Telegraph reported that the Portuguese Water Dog traveled to Martha’s Vineyard, where the Obamas are vacationing all week, as part of the maiden voyage of the MV-22 Ospreys–aircraft that take off like helicopters, but fly like airplanes. The dog’s separate “airlift” was called out of touch by some Republicans.
