Donald Trump may have dominated in the Nevada Caucus on Tuesday –but Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) won the millennial vote.
According to CNN exit polls, the Florida Senator received 37 percent of the millennial vote to Trump’s 31 percent. Rubio also won voters who picked their candidate in the last few days, showing he gained a late consensus.

This is the first time the Senator has won the millennial vote in a Republican primary, and he came in a close second in Iowa.
Millennials represented about 7 percent of the Republican Nevada caucus goers, about the same amount as 2012. However, with more than double turnout, thousands more participated on Tuesday than four years ago.
So while the amount of Gen-Y caucus-goers increased from four years ago, Republicans still lag far behind Democrats.
Millennials represented 18 percent of all participants in the Democratic caucus on Saturday according to exit polls. An estimated 5,300 Republican millennials took part in the Nevada Caucus, far fewer than the nearly 14,500 Democrat millennials who voted for either Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton.
