[WATCH] ‘SNL’ nails cheesiness of drug store Valentine’s Day gifts

Saturday Night Live hit the nail on the head this Valentine’s Day season, tapping into one of the funniest things about the holiday that rarely gets attention: the cheesy gift selection at CVS.

Last night, the show featured a commercial aimed at all of the guys out there who only remembered to get their long-term girlfriend a Valentine’s gift while they were at CVS buying toilet paper.

“Your girlfriend is beautiful, sexy and one-of-a-kind,” the commercial narrator said. “So this Valentine’s Day, get her a gift that’s as special and unique as she is: Some dumb little thing from CVS.”

The commercial highlighted all of the great things women love to get on Valentine’s Day, like a teddy bear dressed up like a bee that says “Bee Mine” on it, a gigantic balloon that sings “Mambo Number 5” whenever you touch it (and sometimes when you don’t), a $1.99 heart necklace or a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle heart-shaped box of chocolates.

The most romantic of all of the gifts from CVS are, of course, the G-Rated sex dice. Nothing screams romance like dice that tell you to tickle your significant other’s face! And for those men on a tight budget, CVS also offers 80 percent off Christmas stockings.

“So shop CVS for all your Valentine’s Day needs — and salsa!”
