In which Will Ferrell gets tackled by ‘security’ at a basketball game

Will Ferrell has come full circle from being a fictional basketball superstar to being a fictional belligerent basketball fan.

The actor and funnyman who played “Jackie Moon” was tackled, we guess, by “security” at Wednesday Night’s New Orleans Pelicans-Los Angeles Lakers tilt in The Big Easy. It was all a setup: Ferrell was on-duty for the upcoming film “Daddy’s Home,” which costars Mark Wahlberg. (Marky Mark was also in attendance.)

The hoopla occurred during a scene in which Ferrell, reportedly drunk in character, attempted one of those halftime “half court shots” for money or a car or something, and instead of at least drawing iron, he drew the facial bones of some poor cheerleader’s face.

(For a pretty classic still, go check out this from The Times-Picayune. Seriously, it’s hilarious.)

If Ferrell’s character needs inspiration for a better try next time, he could consult the “dirty hippie” that shocked Jackie Moon and Flint, Mich.
