The week before her 90th birthday, former first lady Barbara Bush gave an interview to Time magazine that proves she is as spunky and sassy as ever.

Time: Your husband jumped out of an airplane for his 90th. What’s your plan?

Bush: Not jumping out of an airplane. I am not an idiot. The whole family is coming, which will be fun.

Bush answered questions about her impending birthday and, of course, her son’s quest for the White House.

Bush, who once famously declared that there had been too many Bushes in the White House, has since changed her mind.

When asked about her previous statement, her answer was diplomatic and straight to the point.

“I am against discrimination of all kinds: race, religion, sexual orientation or whatever your last name is,” she said.

Though her interview was certainly entertaining, don’t expect to be hearing from her on Twitter anytime soon.  When asked if she would join the social media site like her husband did recently, she revealed that the fun police had shut her down.

“I promised my family I would keep my mouth shut,” she joked.
