Video: Bernie Sanders as George Costanza on “Seinfeld”

Bernie Sanders and Seinfeld character George Constanza have a lot in common: They’re both short, loudmouth New Yorkers, who always seem to be complaining about something. So, Break.com decided to replace the classic ’90s sitcom character with the Vermont senator.

The entertainment website superimposed Sanders’ head on Constanza’s body in several classic Seinfeld scenes. In one scene at Jerry’s apartment, Sanders complained to the comedian and his friend Elaine about income inequality. Ironically, the two brushed off the tirade in much the same way New York voters brushed Sanders off in the recent Democratic primary.

In another scene, the three characters sat together at the diner and Sanders discussed the need to fight against institutional racism as Elaine and Jerry looked on in horror.

As is the case with most of Sanders’ speeches, his endless droning targeted a lot of real problems without offering any real solutions. It’s no wonder he fits in so perfectly on a show about nothing.
