Texas GOP candidate meshes ‘Frozen’ with politics in bizarre ad

Sure, the parodies of Frozen’s “Let It Go” are getting a little old. But at least they’re still tolerable.

That is until incumbent Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst’s campaign released an ad attacking his opponent, state Sen. Dan Patrick.

Set to the tune of “Let It Go,” the ad features a photoshopped Patrick, a conservative radio host born Dan Goeb, dancing and singing the song from the snowy mountaintops. The lyrics center around Patrick’s former career as a disc jockey and the ad features footage of some antics from his past.

Dewhurst and Patrick are set to face off in a debate tonight and will go head-to-head in the runoff primary election May 27.

Candidates will not be judged on their ability to sing Disney songs.
