The New York Times is on the forefront in the war on masculinity. The only acceptable men, according to the paper of record, are the polished, politically correct, feminized males who occupy their time apologizing for their gender.
Towson University professor Andrew Reiner wrote one of the more mind-numbing New York Times op-eds since they published “27 Ways to be a Modern Man” last October — which was supposed to instruct us on how new manhood standards, but instead only showed how to be effeminate.

On Friday, Reiner took it a step further. The Towson University professor revealed in his article, “The Fear of Having a Son,” that he was terrified when his son was born in 2011 because he would grow up in the awful culture that forces men to repress themselves.
“This boy’s going to be raised to feel and express his vulnerability. That’s a curse in this culture,” Reiner allegedly said to people congratulating him on the birth of his son.
He stated that the manhood culture is one that causes men to do badly in school, graduate poorly, have high levels of depression, and exalt being an alpha-male.
Not only is this opinion void of reality — women suffer from depression at twice the rate as men for example — but also ignores that the modern education system is catered for girls which explains why they graduate at higher rates.
Using an unscientific Facebook survey, Reiner claims that upper-class millennial men want to have daughters instead of sons.
“If I have a boy I will embrace the challenge of raising a boy…who can learn the power of vulnerability even as male culture tries to make him see it as weakness,” Reiner said.
Soft social science has determined that men should desire to be more like women, more effeminate, understanding, and willing to keep their member in check.
The need to push the third wave man-hating feminism on young men comes from the fact that it’s being rejected by most women.
According to a 2013 YouGov poll, less than a quarter of young women describe themselves as feminists despite the fact it’s pushed on them from all over mainstream culture.
Furthermore, while effeminate men like Reiner have been celebrating the accomplishments of feminism, women have suffered. Elle Magazine conducted a report in 2009 that found that females were more unhappy than they’ve been in decades.
Reiner’s pseudoscience that men must adopt the same ideals that have battered women would be disastrous. Americans should look at changing the education system to help men, rejecting the culture that bashes masculinity and make manhood great again.
