If Donald Trump wants to become president, he needs to listen to Ivanka Trump and start acting “presidential.”
Step one: Delete your Twitter, or turn it over to someone levelheaded.

Trump will likely be the Republican nominee, if he wants even a marginal chance of overcoming his massive polling deficit to Hillary Clinton, this is the first change that must happen immediately.
The latest example — of literally hundreds of Twitter snafus — came yesterday when he retweeted a disgusting photo comparison of Heidi Cruz and Melania Trump. Earlier this week, he threatened Ted Cruz that he would “spill the beans” on Mrs. Cruz’s alleged struggles with mental health.
Yesterday’s tweet used a bad picture of Mrs. Cruz side-by-side with a gorgeous picture of Melania Trump, saying “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Cruz, to his credit, responded with class, saying,”Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life.”
Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life. https://t.co/pprXhIMzUT

This recent spat only illustrates Trump’s bigger problem. His number one goal must be to unite the Party and appear presidential. When he’s tweeting about Heidi Cruz and Megyn Kelly, or retweeting white supremacists — he is defeating himself. It gives credence to his critics who accuse him of sexism and racism.
Frankly, if Trump had stopped running his own Twitter account months ago, this race would probably be over. His negatives among women and young people wouldn’t be through the roof. He wouldn’t be losing to Hillary Clinton in the latest polls by more than 10 percent.
Donald, it’s time to listen to Ivanka. Give up your smart phone and let go of your Twitter addiction. If/when you’re elected, it’ll have to happen anyway. You can still be authentic without being out-of-control and callous.
