Bob Schieffer stole the words right out of our mouths.

Schieffer, while interviewing White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer for “Face the Nation,” displayed a healthy dose of skepticism toward Obama’s State of the Union plan to add billions of dollars in taxes on the wealthy and fund things like “free” community college.

“I would just ask you this Mr. Pfeiffer: do you in any way shape or form believe that a new Republican Congress is going to do what a Congress that had Democrats and Republicans in control would not do?” Schieffer wondered.

“I mean, is this for real?” he continued. “Do you really think there’s a chance that something like this could pass?”

While Pfeiffer employed his best diplomatic-speak about efforts to come to an agreement with Republicans, Schieffer hammered away: “Do you really think this Congress would really consider this?”
