Rand Paul: We can’t trust Hillary ‘to do the right thing’

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is calling for an independent investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mystery emails.

Paul appeared on ‘The Today Show” Wednesday to talk about why her “explanation” and excuses for the missing emails and home-based servers have eroded any trust he ever had in her and should eliminate any the public placed in her.

“I don’t think convenience should trump national security. She has also admitted in other interviews that she has an iPhone and a Blackberry so she does carry two devices. The fact that she didn’t obey the rules on putting her emails on a government server and now she says there wasn’t classified information, I’m not sure that can be trusted since we can’t trust her to do the right thing the first time,” Paul told host Matt Lauer.

“My sense of trust is a little bit lost in all this,” Paul continued.
