Okay, now everyone is officially laughing at the White House for its recent ridiculous ambassadorial appointments.
Jon Stewart skewered the Obama administration on “The Daily Show” Wednesday for appointing two big Obama supporters — soap opera producer Colleen Bell and Democratic political consultant Noah Mamet — to ambassadorships for which they are grossly unqualified.

As Stewart pointed out, Mamet was appointed ambassador of Argentina despite the fact that he has never visited the country and doesn’t speak much Spanish.
“Although, I can see getting someone to represent us in Argentina who is fluent in Spanish would be very difficult, I mean, barely two thirds of our population speak it,” joked Stewart.
Moreover, Bell, most famous for producing “The Bold and the Beautiful,” was confirmed as ambassador to Hungary even though she was unable to name the U.S. interests in the country during her confirmation hearing.
“She’s a soap opera producer,” said Stewart. “She can help us when Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orban’s wife wakes up from a seven-year coma just in time to call off her daughter’s wedding to a man with amnesia who turns out to be a woman who’s pregnant with the illegitimate son of the prime minister’s evil twin Fernando.”
The comedian of course spotlighted the fact that the only “special qualification” these two individuals have for the job is being major Obama supporters.
In a rare moment, Stewart laid all blame on President Obama for the ridiculous appointments, describing Mamet and Bell as “handpicked” by the president.
Stewart also couldn’t help but laugh at White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest for his terrible job responding to questions from ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl about the new ambassadors during a press briefing earlier this week.
