Wendy Davis exploits Greg Abbott’s disability in new ad

Dirty, dirty politics.

Greg Abbott, the Republican Attorney General of Texas well on his way to winning the governorship, is a paraplegic, the result of a fallen tree that crushed his spine and necessitated the insertion of two steel rods in his back 30 years ago. He is wheelchair-bound.

Wendy Davis, his Democratic opponent, released an advertisement Friday that exploits his injury in a way that only the transcript can properly convey.

“A tree fell on Greg Abbott. He sued and got millions. Since then, he’s spent his career working against other victims.”

What makes this the absolute best is that the background of the ad not-so-subtly alludes to Abbott’s disability.

Pure class.

Abbott leads Davis by double-digits less than a month from election day.
