Hillary Clinton: “I want to be as good a president as Beyoncé Is a performer”

Though she’s still struggling to relate to younger voters, Hillary Clinton may have found a common ground: she wants to be like Beyoncé.

At a town hall in Iowa earlier this week, the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton faced a hard-ball question that really challenged her knowledge of crucial national issues:

“If you could choose, would you rather be the president or Beyoncé?” a concerned voter asked.

Clinton laughed, took a moment to ponder the question, and replied with, you guessed it, President. Her reasoning?

“I can’t sing.  Nobody would pay to see me sing or dance. Even when I was a way lot younger, that just wasn’t in the cards for me.”

Clinton did reveal her admiration for the singer and some of her aspirations, adding “I want to be as good a president as Beyoncé is a performer.”

Before moving on, Clinton paused for a “Queen Bey appreciation” moment telling the crowd that Beyonce live is “Amazing. Oh my gosh.”

It seems that Clinton’s fangirling is mutual.  In May, Beyonce stepped out in NYC to attend a Clinton fundraiser.

Watch Clinton answer the question and cackle over the silliness of the thought of herself singing and dancing!
