Sen. Harry Reid, who officially begins his stint as the chamber’s minority leader Tuesday, revealed he’s working from home under “doctor’s orders.” The Nevada Democrat suffered multiple injuries while exercising last week, and a photo tweeted by his office shows him bandaged but on the job in the company of fellow Democratic leaders.

Next to Reid from left to right are Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Chuck Schumer (N.Y.).
Reid later released a video statement about his meeting and expressing his “homesickness” for the Senate floor.
Reid was treated at a Las Vegas hospital New Year’s Day for what his office said were broken ribs and facial bones inflicted as a result of faulty workout equipment. He was released Friday.
Reid looked like he’d been “though the windshield of a car,” Durbin, Reid’s top lieutenant, was quoted as saying by the Washington Times.
