Drop a beat, y’all. Michelle Obama aka First Lady aka FLOTUS is in the White Hizzy, and she’s spitting some mad rhymes to promote healthy eating.
As part of her Let’s Move! campaign, Michelle Obama busted out a rap about wraps during a speech at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, on Tuesday, NowThis News reported. The jam was written by students from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Va., and recited during an event promoting Obama’s new policies surrounding junk food in schools.
The First Lady’s rhyme encouraged children to ditch the cookies and nuggets and look for wraps and veggies instead, because “we love it.”
“If I’m going to help my brain come to fruition,
I’m going to feed it quality nutrition.
We love the cookies but they’re not sufficient,
We need to eat veggies to make our bodies efficient.
Roll my chicken in a wrap, don’t jam it in a nugget.
Get hyped for healthy snacks, fresh food, we love it.”
