#FeelTheJohnson: Will Gov. Johnson be third party answer to Trump?

Libertarian Party candidate for president and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson believes he could be the third party answer for conservatives and younger libertarian-leaning voters, if  Trump wins the Republican nomination.

He spoke at CPAC yesterday and said, “I actually believe I may have won Super Tuesday.”

Later in the day, he joined Fox Business’s Cavuto, pointing out that the Libertarian Party is on the ballot in all 50 states — whereas if someone decided to run third party now, they will have missed significant deadlines.

“I’ve got a good possibility to be the third party candidate. If Donald Trump decided to be a third party candidate tomorrow, he couldn’t pull it off…

“It was a pleasure to be at CPAC to make the pitch to CPAC: I’m the third party candidate.”

Johnson was a successful Republican governor, reelected by a double digit margin in a swing state. In 2012, he ran as a Republican for president, but switched to the Libertarian Party — where he was nominated, but garnered less than 1 percent in the general election.

But that was before Trump.

Now, more people are starting to warm to the idea of a Johnson candidacy, and some supporters are copying the #FeelTheBern theme from Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign.

They want voters to #FeelTheJohnson:
