Five favorite Cinco de Mayo drinks

It’s time to move beyond the mojitos and margaritas and tequila shots! Boring!

Spice up your Cinco de Mayo party this weekend with some of these classy twists on traditional favorites!

Mayahuel

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Tequila
  • .5 oz  Ginger Liqueur
  • .75 oz orange juice
  • .5 oz lime juice
  • .75 oz agave syrup
  • 6-8 Mint leaves

Directions: Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish the drink with a mint sprig and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Pineapple Vodka
  • 1 oz  Vanilla Vodka
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz cranberry juice
  • pineapple slice for garnish


Directions:

Pour ingredients into a blender or shaker and add crushed ice Let stand for five seconds, and then shake or blend vigorously for five seconds. Pour into a martini glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice.


Tequila Sunrise



Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces Tequila
  • 4 ounces orange juice
  • 1  splash cranberry juice


Directions: Mix the orange juice and tequila in a shaker with ice, pour into a glass, finish with a splash of cranberry juice.


Frozen Strawberry Margarita

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. tequila
  • 2 oz. triple sec
  • 8 oz. frozen strawberries in syrup
  • 4 oz. frozen limeade concentrate

Directions: Fill a blender with ice and crush. Pour in the four drink ingredients and blend for 30 seconds or until smooth. Rim a 6 oz. margarita glass with a lime wedge and the dip it in sugar. Pour the drink into the margarita glass, garnish with a lime, and serve.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. light tequila
  • 8 oz. sprite
  • 4 oz. guava juice
  • twist of lemon

Directions:

Throw these awesome ingredients in a blender, garnish with some sugar and a lemon wedge! Your friends won’t be able to drink just one of these Mexican favorites!
