In an effort to make their boss appear more grandmotherly and baking-friendly, Hillary Clinton’s campaign staffers sent out a tweet at 10:11pm Sunday night that wished followers “sweet dreams” and included a photo of Clinton looking longingly at a case of pastries.

The message, intended to be charming, would have been weird no matter who was in the photo, but that intense, robotic stare of Clinton’s — one that Kate McKinnon has captured marvelously on Saturday Night Live — turned it into something entirely different.
On Twitter, the general consensus was that the message was terrifying.
